The 3rd Year Party Hat is a rare party hat in Club Penguin. It was available to all penguins in the Coffee Shop during the 3rd Anniversary Party on October 24, 2008; and just like all other anniversary party hats it will never return. In order to get it, you had to hit the switch on the Wish-Maker 3000, causing some cake to fall, revealing it.

- It appeared in the log in screen before the 5th Anniversary Party.
- It appeared on a shelf in the Coffee Shop during the 5th Anniversary Party and 8th Anniversary Party.
- It appeared on the 6th Anniversary Party log in screen along with other party hats.
- It appears in the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 Yearbooks on the October pages.
- It appears on the 3rd Year Anniversary Party Invite postcard, Igloo Party postcard, Party at my Igloo postcard, as well as the 4th Anniversary postcard.
- It appeared on a Login Screen for the 8th Anniversary Party.
Trivia
- It was the first anniversary hat to have 3 different colors.
- It was the first party hat to have more than two colors, and currently the only tricolor anniversary hat. The 5 Year Celebration Hat also has three colors, but isn't an anniversary hat.
- The tricolor is a reference to 3 years of Club Penguin, similar to the 5th party hat, because it has 5 colors.
- If you wear this anniversary hat or any other anniversary hats (apart from the 7th Anniversary Hat, 8th Anniversary Hat and the Snow Beta Hat) and go to the Fire Dojo or Water Dojo, Sensei will comment "I see you're wearing an Anniversary Hat. I like pointy hats."
- It is Club Penguin's 4th party hat.
- During the 3rd Year Anniversary Party, when this hat could be found, the Town Center was decorated to look like Times Square.
- Like the 4th Anniversary Hat, some penguins had trouble obtaining it.
- If you invert its colors, it will look similar to the 5 Year Celebration Hat.
