It's much better, as the trailers are mostly showing the stuff only available in geo-beta right now. I'm almost entirely sure there'll be more rooms, much more mascots, many different games and a large variety of events and clothes.
The worst thing about CPI is that non-members get extremely limited features. Daily challenges are also getting repeated. If there are no parties, daily challenges are one of the only ways to make penguins come online and now daily challenges are also becoming boring. Other than these, the game is fine.
CPI will likely be improved in the future, so I believe that there is no need for worry for the app. There'll likely be more features to CPI, such as new rooms or games. A problem that stands out to me though is how non-members have limited features (an example of this is how all non-members in CPI CANNOT have clothes.) This may only be in the geo-beta, but it got a bit suspicious when during the Megg meet-up today, a player asked if CPI non-members will actually receive clothes. Megg had a strange answer saying something similar to "I hope," or "maybe."

Mega and her bloody vague answers.
According to the current system, non-members can die hungry and naked. Buy a membership :))))
I find it funny how only members can use the exclusive items, it defeats the purpose of pre-registering to the game if you need to spend money to use. I don't even know why they did that during a beta, how they expect players to test the game if most features are locked for a huge percentage of them?
They need to introduce something for non-members. In app purchases for some clothing items could be a viable option for them while players with a membership will have full access (All clothes, Quests, food, etc.)
(However, it's unlikely because they'll want most of their sales from membership purchases aka the higher price option.)
