Card-Jitsu Shadow was a potential game in Club Penguin. Since the release of Card-Jitsu Fire, rumors have circulated about a fourth element, due to the small black gem in the center of Amulets. While little information has been given on Card-Jitsu Shadow, multiple moderators have answered questions about it when asked.

Due to Club Penguin's shutdown in March 2017 and the entire Club Penguin franchise's end in December 2018, Card-Jitsu Shadow would never be released.

Info on the game

On June 1, 2011, four items were added to Club Penguin's files: the Helmet of Shadows, Midnight Mask, Nightfall Coat, and Shade Sandals. None of these items were ever released. This was around the time the "Card-Jitsu Water - Second Wave" cards were released in stores. Codes from these cards could potentially unlock a power card named Mobile Fire Power Card 1, which features a penguin wearing these items.

In January 2013, when Spike Hike was asked if Card-Jitsu Shadow would be released, he responded with "Snow first"[1] implying that if Shadow were to be released, it would not be until after Card-Jitsu Snow, which had not been released at the time. A few months later, shortly before Snow's release, when asked if Shadow was real, he responded that it is currently a rumor, but he believes in it.[2]

At a Spike Saturday meetup on April 26, 2014, Spike Hike mentioned that "Card-Jitsu Shadow will take a while".[3]

In a real-life interview, Polo Field stated that the Club Penguin Team really wants to work on Card-Jitsu Shadow, and they have many ideas. However, he stated that the team wants to put the original Card-Jitsu on mobile devices first.[4]
