- It was the cheapest clothing item in Club Penguin (excluding free items), although the Cement Shoes, which are a bait item, only cost 5 coins. On the other hand, the Doom Drone was the most expensive item, costing 3000 coins.
- The item was made available for everyone to purchase on June 5, 2014.
- For a while, if a non-member tried buying this item after it was for everyone, a sign would appear saying that you have to be a member in order to purchase it. This bug is now fixed.
- In the play The Vikings That Time Forgot, Helga mentions a "Time Travel Viking Hat" she has bought for "10 gold".
