The Demotion Project is a place where any user can vote on users to be demoted.

Rules and how to nominate
Rules
  • You can not vote for or against yourself.
  • You must have made at least 20 edits this month.
  • A user that was nominated for demotion cannot be nominated again in the following month.
  • A vote closes after 2 weeks.
How to nominate a user
  1. Contact an admin and mention the nominee's username. Tell the admin why you believe a demotion should be done.
  2. This admin will then confirm whether it's a reason for demotion. If possible, it's also recommended that 2 admins will confirm it.

To nominate, paste the following text in the bottom of the page and fill in the parameters

  • <nominee>- the nominee for demotion.
  • <your name>- the name of the person that request the demotion.

Vote under the "For" section if you want to vote for, and sign under the "Against" section if you vote against. Signing is done by adding to the bottom of the list of votes:

Originally, I thought promoting Jess to a Chat Moderator would be a good decision, however we have been proven wrong. He is not really using his Chat Moderator rights. Firstly, he does not really talk much when he comes on, he is also away a lot of the time. Secondly, many times in the past, users including other Chat Moderators as well as Admins have asked him questions and he has totally ignored them. He will only talk on chat when he needs something or when it benefits him. Many users have also stated the above. I was hoping he'd improve but after 2 months+ he has not changed.

          • Okay, so since he talked once that night, that means he doesn't mean to be demoted? Even if he did talk a lot, it makes no difference. He doesn't do his job on banning, kicking, or warning people. He's away most of the time, etc. What's the point of him having rights if he won't use the right? Whenever we need him, he's never there. He can redeem himself by doing his job. He doesn't even have to talk if he doesn't feel like it, but he should at least watch chat when he's the only mod there, or when all the mods and admins are unavailable. When I first met Chris, he was nice and friendly. I thought he was awesome. I thought wrong. He is really just a rude and nasty person who more or less has been bullying me for the past few months. He called me a loon, claims I have next to no friends, no one likes me, I argue with everyone on the wiki, etc etc. I don't care what you think of me, maybe I do rage quite a bit, but is it really right for a chat moderator to call users names and bully them? He even swore at me in pm, but let's not get onto that. He makes me carry on raging just to find an excuse to kick me. He will most likely deny everything I said here, but I expect him too. He even once admitted he wants me gone, away, out of the wiki for good. Tell me, do you honestly, honestly think it's right for a mod to do this? Whether he is your friend or not?

    • I do that to defend myself. Why does that honestly make you vote against? I will not stand and allow myself to be bullied. Also, seriously, there is nothing wrong with using a picture as your avatar. TheNintendoKing
    • I don't think it should be "well you said something back" in this situation; sure it would not be ideal if two people are arguing and only one gets punished - but in this situation, according to Nintendo, Chriskim argued with him (allegedly); so we need to ask ourselves one question: is that acceptable from [this right]?   • I do not know why anyone would want Chris to be gone. He is a fantastic user and I personally don't have any complaints. Most of the things said about him is mainly false. He should be kept and he does a great job as a Chat mod. User:Commander Bsyew

    • We can't control how you feel; how you feel towards a users actions or them personally is out of our control; if the user is inherently victimising you with their mere vocabulary; that is when we see a problem. However, regarding the against section, none of these users have seen that Chriskim98 has bullied/harassed/ignored you in such a way that he should be demoted.       • Maybe so, but it's extremely unfair that no punishment for him is being used. TheNintendoKing
        • The reason of it being "fare" or "unfair" regarding Chriskim98's "actions" should be determined by the community – in this case, this vote.
