Club Penguin Wiki:January 2015 Promotions

This page is to be used for the mass promotions of January 2015. There are four votes: administrator, bureaucrat, patroller, and chat moderator. There will be one winner for each vote. The votes began on January 3, and they will end on January 17. Admin and bureaucrat nominations will need to be confirmed by a current administrator. Prospective chat moderators and patrollers will nominate themselves for promotion. Each user will only be able to vote for one nominee in the admin and bureaucrat votes. In the mod and patroller votes, users will be allowed to vote for as many nominees as they want.
Please note: In addition to the regular rules of voting, we have decided to remove the rule stating that "chat moderators and patrollers are self-nominated" in substitution with a new rule: they can be nominated by peers as well as by themselves. Also, please note this: Two administrators will be promoted in these votes. As such, you may vote for two of the administrator candidates.

Request for rights - Detailed Process of Nomination and Voting

This page is for requesting user rights. There are six types of user rights in this wiki: interface editors, chat moderators, rollbacks, patrollers, administrators and bureaucrats. You can request to receive some of these rights via two people nominating you. One of these people must already be an administrator, the other can be anyone. Once they have nominated you, the administrator must add the request onto the corresponding page. To learn more about the user rights, click here. When a request has been completed, successful or not, please archive it here. Admins Notice: When nominating someone, you should make a Level 2 Section with their name. This shows you what you need to type in. The request will close after one week. The nominees with the most votes will go onto stage two of the voting process, and finally the final nominees will be voted with for the community. The nomination process is calculated by the number of for votes. If it is the highest number of for votes, it is classed as a 'pass'. Voters Notice: Please read the voting policy thorougly before you vote. You can only vote "For" and you can only vote for one user. If you decide to vote, you have to sign underneath the "For" heading. To do this you have to type this in: #~~~~ You may also leave a comment no longer than a sentence when you sign. Any longer and you have to leave it in the "Comments" section. After you have signed it, you must change the number in the brackets up by 1. (e.g. if it was at 3, it means 3 people have already signed it. Change it to 4 when you sign it.) This is also the same with the number by their name. If you vote for, you must also increase the number beside his name by 1. Please remember to use "#" instead of the usual "*", because it numbers the votes making it easier to count them. You can also remove your vote. If in any case you change your mind, do not remove your vote completely - just strike it out and move it to the back of the list. Remember to use an asterisk when moving it to the back of list, as it would not show up as a numbered point.

• Both Watat and Vic are very good users. • I really do hope I can redeem myself with getting my rights back. As I have been editing at CPWN I do wish to edit at both wikis and help contribute both wikis out. I have been demoted for not editing but If I do get my rights back, I am hoping that I edit more like I did back in Jan and Feb 2014, and as well as be more active at the same time. With this, I do believe I do get my CM rights as well if this nomination passes. I have been a mod for a year, and I do think i have been doing pretty well. :P

• Apj, Roger allowed it therefore at his own risk, allowed the swear in PM. We have discussed it over again and we have solved the issue. I was demoted specifically from Patroller to CM due to my lack of edits, but as I have said earlier in my comment that I will try to edit more and be more active on both CPW and CPWN.

• Honestly, you were very inactive, and even now you are still inactive. I havent seen you edit in a long time either so I dont see how you can be a patroller. I do still think you should be a CM but otherwise I dont know yet if you should be a patroller once again.

  • I have to disagree, a majority of Green Ninja's edits have been very constructive; most of them being for new characters/items/events. Just look at his editcount and contributions, all most all of his edits feature fixing spelling, adding info, pictures, (and maybe a reference). I don't think you commenting on what's wrong with a candidate without a valid reason is fairer then you commenting on why you should be the candidate with a good reason. • I want to even out the playing field a little bit, and I think the best way to do it is to the vote for who I think has shown the most usefulness for these rights. Green Ninja has displayed editing excellence in the past as well as displaying voracious editing tendencies; such as when a new party comes out (what are really the most fundamental times for an editor to be active). Taking note of this, we can see that Green Ninja could use his new "powers" to edit these pages and patroll others to build articles up from when they were first released. Sure, he may still need some learing with references (we will master ref names together, GN!) and previous offences to the policy, while I can't deny are "easy", are a learning curve in every editor's journey. • If Callum Fawsitt can be promoted to a moderator 20 days after joining, then she could be promoted a month after. She is friendly, has lots of edits, and is very active.
