The Wiki's Vote Page is made to hold all kinds of votes.

When a vote is held, you will be allowed to sign your username, using four tildes ~~~~

Each vote will be published in this way:

==<Vote name> (0)==
:Suggested by <your name> and confirmed by <administrator name>
===For (0)===
===Against (0)===

Nominee Notice: After being nominated, you can enter reasons on why you should be nominated next to the "nomination sentence". A vote closes when 14 days is up. The vote difference is calculated by the number of votes "for" subtracted by the number "against". The user option with the most vote differences wins.

Voter Notice: You must vote in either "For" or "Against". If you vote in for, you have to sign underneath the "For" heading. To do this you have to type this in:

After you have signed it, you must change the number in the brackets up by 1. (e.g. if it was at 3, it means 3 people have already signed it. Change it to 4 when you sign it.) This is also the same with the number by their name. If you vote for, you must also increase the number beside his or her name by 1.

Please remember to use "#" instead of the usual "*", because it numbers the votes making it easier to count them.

You can also remove your vote. If in any case you change your mind, do not remove your vote completely, just strike it out and move it to the back of the list.

Please discuss with an administrator before creating a new vote!

Changing the Editcount requirement for the Chat Mod Calendar (+6)

Suggested by CustardTheFreebird, JonthePlayerxD, WikiaFrog and confirmed by Callum Fawsitt
(Vote ends January 17)

I know I said I wouldn't post on this page again, but I'm doing it for Jon as he wanted me to and I do agree with this. We think that the current requirements of 25 mainspace edits to apply for the Chat Mod Calendar is a bit arbitrary as moderating chat has nothing to do with edits, that would be more like a rollback or a patroller. :P

We think it would be good to either reduce or remove this requirement, thank you for reading. This was Custard Bird, Jon Player and Wikia Frog, back to you in the studio.

  • I agree. Chat moderating should depend on your current behavior and activity in chat. It shouldn't be about how well you edit. It's also unfair of how Timberwolf and User:Hypercane don't have ANY mainspace edits and they're moderators, now to be a mod loosely a day you need 25 mainspace. 270-red-boxing-gloves-vector-image-free JONNN CENNAA!!! 270-red-boxing-gloves-vector-image-free 23:18, January 3, 2016 (UTC)
  • I also agree, sure edits are fine and all, but edits aren't everything to become a chat moderator. Moderator badge Hypercane (talk) Moderator badge 00:31, January 4, 2016 (UTC)
  • I still believe we should keep some quality. Greece Flag Samantas5855 (talk)
  • I'm with Sam. 25 edits are basically nothing, and even the little effort requires for completing this criteria can be a really good indication for how serious a user is about the wiki. It would be more reasonable to completely cancel the editing criteria than lowering it, since the result would be a pathetically low number. Penguin-Pal (talk) 14:53, January 10, 2016 (UTC)

Use Template For Voting (+1)

Suggested by AustinD-3 and confirmed by Apj26 (Vote ends January 18)

I think instead of the current system, which looks like this.

==<Vote name> (0)==
:Suggested by <your name> and confirmed by <administrator name>
===For (0)===
===Against (0)===

We should use a template, similar to this

|Name =
|Nominee =
|Confirming Admin =
|For =
|Against =
|Comments =

For the For/Against/Comment places, we could use <br>*test<br>*test2, so watcha think?

  • I see no problem with the current system. Besides, mashing together names and comments in a template just... is not at all practical. What would be the supposed benefit of this? –Watatsuki Sutra scroll Watatsuki sig 23:44, January 4, 2016 (UTC)
  • I don't think this is needed. Surprised Emoticon you know it is Apj InterfaceShape52
  • It has potential to look neater than the current system for voting, but it'll likely just end up being more trouble than it's worth.
    *Adding a line break and then an asterisk or number sign also doesn't translate to a list.
    #It's a cool idea, but I think the current system works well enough. --Hey.youcp Surfboard Pin 13:40, January 5, 2016 (UTC)
