WTF? These rules are pointless, why the heck are they here? People can put what they want in their signature, and unless your staff you can't do anything about it. These rules are unnecessary and are there for the sake of whatever democratic dictatorship you lot uphold. I'd like this deleted. --4th hale (talk) 20:03, September 24, 2009 (UTC)

My point is this is over the top. Nobody will put a 600px image in their signature anyway, so why bother making pointless rules. You can put whatever you want in your signature, that's why I want this gone. Freedom to edit. Some of these things are ridiculous, the standard template signature 'disobeys' these rules. just get rid of them, it's political correctness gone mad, and the blocks are OTT. On templates

Templates CAN produce timestamps in signature. All you have to do is make a template call in the sig preferences box. Works for me. Also, templates make it possible to write signatures with longer code than the preferences box allows. --Explorer of the Fanon 20:40, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

Explorer, I understand what you are saying, but we're referring to templates used as a substitute for placing four tidles. I also use your method of placing a template/subpage call in your preferences box (and I advise other people to do so), but this is referring solely to those who annoyingly can't be bothered to place four tidles. --Tigernose Chat • Edits 20:48, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

20px? Isn't that a bit small to depict any portrait?

Although my opinions are traditionally disregarded, isn't 20px a little too small for anyone to actually get a look at what the user is posting? I understand that oversized signature portraits are a menace that must be erased, but don't you think you could permit them to be just a bit bigger? The Image I am using is 64x64px, for example, which isn't very bad at all. --† TurtleShroom™!
