An igloo with the Terracotta Tile
Flooring was a feature that members could buy and use as decoration in their igloo. What part of the igloo's floor was covered depended on the igloo, with some having the whole whole floor covered by flooring, while others only had a small section covered. Flooring was often carpet or tiling. It could be bought in the Furniture & Igloo Catalog.
History[]
- Flooring was first available on January 19, 2007, through the Igloo Upgrades catalog. Changing flooring required the player spend coins to buy the new flooring every time, and if flooring was removed, it could not be recovered unless it was available in the current catalog.
- On July 12, 2012, flooring was added to the Furniture Catalog.
- On July 26, 2012, flooring was removed from the Igloo Catalog. An inventory space for flooring was also added to the igloo interface, allowing players to keep and use any flooring they buy at will. Floor Removal was also made available from the interface.
Flooring types[]
For most kinds of flooring, depending on which igloo is used, the appearance of the flooring is different. The seven carpet flooring and the Snowy Floor only have 1 type, so their appearance is the same in every igloo. The other floorings all have 16 different types, but for most of these kinds of flooring, some types are visually identical despite having different IDs. Which type is used an igloo is defined in the code of the igloo's SWF.
Flooring could not be used in the Magical Hideout, but it still had a flooring type defined in its SWF: 16.

These flooring could not have been used in any igloo that used type 13, 14, 15, or 16. These flooring were last available before any igloos with these types were released, and were also not available after the introduction of the feature to save bought flooring in the igloo inventory, in August 2011.
