Hey guys it's Tigernose. I'm proposing a change of logo for the World Cup. Here's the reasoning behind it:

We've had Labor Day changes in the logo, and that only applied to America. What's so wrong with the World Cup? I understand a lot of people are American, but that doesn't mean everybody is. A big chunk of our readers and users are from all corners of the world, and the World Cup is something celebrated Worldwide. Simply a change of logo would just raise awareness and get everybody in the spirit!

It's a big thing, and it doesn't matter who wins and who loses. Not only that, Americans are also part of this. Who saw the game against England? Intense match, unlucky for England but got the States into the spirit! This competition happens every 4 years, so this is a once-in-a-life time oppurtunity for the wiki.

It's not unrelated either, Club Penguin is a big fan of football (soccer), the Stadium is out often (is it out now, I don't play the game anymore, you tell me), so we could easily use sprites and images from Club Penguin.

Now, here's my ideas:

1. Based on our old logo, we replace the book with the World Cup, get a soccer ball by the penguin's foot and change the colours of the balloons to either incorporate the colours of the South African flag (the venue for this year's competition), or simply have the flags of South Africa and other World Cup related things on the balloons themselves. The shirt says Club Penguin Wiki and World Cup 2010.
2. There's a picture of two penguins chasing a soccer ball in the Sports Catalogue somewhere. We cut out the penguins and the ball and stick it onto the image with 'Club Penguin Wiki' above them and 'World Cup 2010' below them.
3. Take the current logo, and put all three famous penguins in color-corresponding soccer jerseys (e.g. Rockhopper would wear red), and put a soccer ball on one side of them and the World Cup on the other.

Now, if anyone can draw this up, I would appreciate this a lot. I understand Sith Cub is a fan of editing our logo, and he does it very well. Feel free to add your ideas to the list, and remember to add a corresponding section as well!

And the last issue is how long it should up there. The World Cup is on till mid-July, so this time may be too long. I'm thinking the week before the Final it should be put up and should be removed a little after the end of the competition. --Tigernose Chat • Edits 19:29, June 14, 2010 (UTC)
