Tour Description
This is the Gold Mine. Rumor is if you dig up gold nuggets... you can find the legendary gold puffle! If you think you have what it takes... head to the Pet Shop to start the quest.

The Gold Mine was an underground cavern brimming with gold ore, located under the School, in Club Penguin. On the Quest for the Gold Puffle, members could activate the room's jackhammer by using 15 Golden Nuggets, which made a Gold Puffle emerge and be adopted.

Trivia

• Like in the Cave Mine, players could use the Special Dances of the Miners Helmet, Hard Hat, Snow Shovel, or Red Construction Hat to dig up coins on the dirt area in the middle of the room, it did not work while wearing a Safety Vest. Using this, players could earn up to 100 coins at once.
• There was a large tarp that was never removed from the room. In issue #505 of the Club Penguin Times, Aunt Arctic stated that the tarp was covering a machine, but she was unsure of its purpose. In issue #565 of the Club Penguin Times, Gary the Gadget Guy labeled the machine under the tarp as an unsolved mystery, remarking he was also unsure of the machine's purpose, but "at the very least, it works at holding up a tarp." If the tarp's object of the room's swf is deleted, there is simply empty space underneath.
  • According to Captain Pirate, the machine's function was to control the drill above it. Penguins would be able to operate a mechanism, which would charge the drill's battery, causing the drill to activate.
