The Lantern was a hand item in Club Penguin. Members could obtain it for free during the Halloween Party 2008 in the Secret Laboratory. It could also have been obtained by all players from the 10th Anniversary Item Calendar.

Trivia[]
- A similar item was the Iron Lantern.
- Unlike the Storm Lantern and Flashlight, it would not light up the Ghost Costume when the player danced.
- If the player wore either this item, the Flashlight, or the Storm Lantern, in the Dark Chamber and Swamp Maze from the Halloween Party 2010 and Halloween Party 2011, light would surround them. This light was only visible from the player's own screen, and not to other players.
- Prior to the 10th Anniversary Party, it was a member-only item.
