The Muppets are a group of puppets that achieved worldwide fame in 1976 with The Muppet Show. The characters were created by Jim Henson in 1955 for the television show "Sam and Friends." The Muppets are known for their comedy shows and their films, often starring alongside famous people/special guest stars.
