A Neck Item is a category of clothing. It includes items such as Capes, Neckties, Bags, Chains, Necklaces, Scarves, Beards, Leis, Wings, and things that the Penguin wears on the back.

- The rarest neck item is the Hawaiian Lei.
- The Life Vest was a free item during Rockhopper's Quest, and was the first free non-member neck item to appear since the Santa Beard was released in the Christmas Party 2008.
- There is a bait item, called Remove Neck Item. It is commonly found in CPPS's, or Hacking.
- There are some penguins that can use two neck items at once, such as Jet Pack Guy.
- (As of October 2013), there has either been a glitch or an update that doesn't show the attachment for any kind of cape.
