Parties are Island-wide events that happen every month or so on Club Penguin, planned by the Party Committee, usually in celebration of something. Parties notably change the appearance of Club Penguin, such as a building's exterior and interior being changed with decorations and different music. If you visit all of the decorated party rooms, you would get the Explorer Stamp.

Some "Parties", such as Coins for Change, or the Fashion Show are classed as events instead as they are smaller parties.

Main article: Sponsored Parties

There have been ten sponsored parties in Club Penguin, promoting other Walt Disney (in most cases) brands. Club Penguin created their first sponsored party in June 2012. Most sponsored parties have the suffix "takeover".

Many penguins have protested against Disney and thinks Disney ruined Club Penguin for creating these parties, although some enjoy them. Players believe Club Penguin partnered with these companies to increase revenue and ultimately try to draw in more players.

Trivia

  • They removed the Summer Party due to the fact when it's summer in the Northern Hemisphere it's winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • The Club Penguin Team has changed the name "Christmas Party" to "Holiday Party" in 2009 due to many Penguins having different religions and not celebrating Christmas.
  • The Club Penguin Team has changed the name "Fall Fair" to "The Fair" in 2009 due to the fact that many Penguins living in the Southern Hemisphere were having their Spring at that time.
  • Penguin Style sometimes gives out hints on what's happening later in the month. For example, if the Penguin Play Awards are approaching, most catalog items are tuxedos and dresses.
  • The Penguin Play Awards Party was always in March. It did not return in 2011, but the treasure book series 13 had lots of clothes of the Penguin Play Awards.
  • The 6th Anniversary Party is the first party to have another party in progress along with it which is the Halloween Party 2011 but the 6th anniversary cake was smaller than the 5th, 4th and 3rd. And the Party Hat was Halloween-Related.
  • It takes on average about 3 months to go from an idea to a full-fledged party.
  • The first party ever to take place on the mobile app is the Frozen Party in August 2014.[1]
