The October 2005 edition of the Penguin Style catalog was released on October 24 and was available until November 1. All items could only be bought by players with membership. Flags were introduced in this catalog.
This edition had 1 secret item, a feature which appeared for the first time. This was also the first time the catalog was named "Penguin Style", as it had no name prior.
On the page with colors, a Snow Cat appears, although it is "sold out" and could not be bought. Snow Cats previously appeared in Experimental Penguins and Penguin Chat 3. Although its description text is partially covered by the sold out label, it is intact in the catalog's SWF file, and reads "This bulldozer-like vehicle is perfect for snow travel. Warranty to 100,000 kilometres."
This was included as a "fun reference", and while the Snow Cat was considered to return as a wearable item in Club Penguin, it was thought to be too big during testing and the idea was scrapped.[1]
The advertisement on the back cover mentions "Zippo Penguin", who is also credited as the creator of the first few comics from The Penguin Times.
