Puffle Launch was a game in Club Penguin that was released on March 14, 2011.[1] The game's focus was launching puffles in the air using cannons to collect Puffle-Os and stop Klepto from stealing them. The Soda Sunset and Box Dimension levels were exclusively available to members, while all players could play the Blue Sky levels whose progress would be reset back to level 1 once the game was exited.
The player could select one of their puffles to play (except for puffle species released after the brown puffle). If the player had no puffles, a red puffle would be used. Each puffle species wore their own helmet.
Various extra content could be unlocked by progressing through the game.
If all the Puffle-O's in Blue Sky were collected, the Puffle Cannon was received. If all Puffle-O's in the entire game were collected, the Super Puffle Cannon was received and Time Trials were unlocked.
In Time Trials, the fastest time the player cleared each level is displayed in the level select menu, although these times are tracked before the mode is unlocked, but are not visible until it is unlocked. If the total fastest times for all levels was 18 minutes or less, Turbo Mode was unlocked.
In Turbo Mode, which can be activated or deactivated from the level select menu, the player's puffle moves much faster than usual. After reaching the goal in all 36 levels in Turbo Mode, Slow Motion was unlocked. If the A key is held in a level, slow motion is activated, functioning identical to the slow motion cannons.

When a puffle enters this cannon, they are automatically launched in the direction it faces.
When a puffle enters this cannon, they will stay inside the cannon. Most green cannons make 90 degree turns every few seconds, although some do not move. Pressing the spacebar launches the puffle in the direction the cannon faces.
When a puffle enters this cannon, they are automatically launched in the direction it faces. It also creates a checkpoint, so if a puffle respawns, it will return to the last cannon of this type it entered.

When a puffle enters this cannon, they will stay inside the cannon. It charges for a few seconds. Pressing the spacebar launches the puffle in the direction the cannon faces. When shot out of this cannon, puffles move very slowly for several seconds, allowing for precise movement.
Obstacles[]
These objects have no function beyond launching puffles if touched, although sometimes are meant to be used as platforms to bounce off of.

Function
Floats in place. If a puffle touches it, they bounce off it, and the balloon recoils far in the opposite direction of where the puffle touched it from. It then floats back to its default position.
Floats in place. If a puffle touches it, they bounce off it, and the balloon recoils slightly in the opposite direction of where the puffle touched it from. It then floats back to its default position.
Either floats in place, or up and down/side to side every few seconds. If a puffle collides with it, they are sent flying.

Floats in place. If a puffle collides with it, they are sent flying, and the box recoils far in the opposite direction of where the puffle touched it from. It then floats back to its default position.
Floats in place. If a puffle collides with it, the box explodes, and they are sent flying. After a few seconds, the box reappears.
Floats in place. If a puffle collides with it, they are sent flying, and the box changes shape. It starts as a cube, then turns into a sphere, then into a pyramid, then back to a cube. While shaped as a pyramid, it launches puffles much farther than the other two shapes.
Floats in place. If a puffle collides with it, they are sent flying a short distance and the box breaks. Reappears when the puffle respawns.
Floats in place. If a puffle touches it, a smaller version of the box appears next to it. If this smaller box is touched, it creates an even smaller box, and so on until there are five boxes of progressively smaller sizes. If the smallest box is touched, all of the smaller boxes return inside the original.
Special[]
These objects have special functions when interacted with.

Function
Covers other objects. If a puffle touches it, it disappears, and does not reappear if the puffle respawns.
Either floats in place, or up and down/side to side every few seconds. If a puffle is above it, it suspends them in midair.
If a puffle lands in the catapult, they remain inside. The catapult can be pulled back with the left, right, and down arrow keys. When the down key is let go, the puffle is flung. The more it is pulled back, the farther the puffle is flung.
If a puffle touches the open side of the box, they are teleported to another portal box, linked to the one they entered. If they touch the other sides of the box, they are sent flying.
If a puffle touches it, its gravity is reversed, causing the puffle to fall upward. If touched again, gravity is changed back to normal.
Trivia[]
The first sneak peek for the game was revealed in a parent update email in February 2011.[2]
Players could select whichever of their puffles to play, even if all of them were of the same color.
Puffle Launch was playable on the Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices through the Puffle Launch App.
Many of the obstacles from this game also appeared in Jetpack Boost.
Cannons similar in appearance to the Green and Red cannons from this game appeared in Jetpack Boost, these cannons shot snowballs like the Snowball Cannons from Puffle Rescue.
Klepto was not originally planned to be the main antagonist of Puffle Launch. Instead, it was planned to be Scowly the Owl.[3]
The music tracks used for this game are called "Puffle Coaster (3)", "Puffle Coaster Boss", and "Boss Bullet Success". All three were composed by Screenhog.
The game's main theme went through five iterations, the boss theme went through two, and the victory theme wasn't changed since the first iteration.
