Puffle Launch was a game in Club Penguin that was released on March 14th, 2011.[1] The game's focus was launching puffles in the air through cannons to collect Puffle-Os that "went missing". In addition, the player also had to fight Klepto, a crab who stole parts of various machines over the island, to continue collecting the puffle's famed treats. The game was exclusively available to members for worlds 2 and 3; though all players could play world 1, whose progress would be reset back to level 1 once the game was exited.
After collecting all Puffle-O's of Blue Sky, Soda Sunset, and the Box Dimension, you would get the Epic Cannon, allowing the player to access Time Trials. After completing Time Trials in under 18 minutes, you would unlock Turbo Mode. If you completed every level in Turbo Mode, you could play the Slow Motion mode.
Time Trials were essentially the regular levels, but your times were recorded.
Turbo Mode made the game faster than usual.
Slow Motion made the game slower than usual, similar to the Slow Motion Cannon.
Objects
Green Cannons: They went either left, right, up or down.
Blue Cannons: They fired as soon as your puffle entered them.
Red Cannons: They spun very quickly and shot far. Timing was a must to using them.
Purple Cannons: They could be rotated 360 degrees manually.
Checkered Yellow Cannons: They served the same function as Blue Cannons, but were also mini-checkpoints.
Green Balloons: They were powerful and trampoline-like.
Purple Balloons: They were weak and filled with Cream Soda.
Slow Motion Cannons: They made the puffle slow (this cannon was only in the Box Dimension).
Box Teleporters: They were used only in Box Dimension Levels.
Gravity Boxes: They usually pointed down and switched up after tapping them with your puffle. Gravity reversed and your puffle would fall upwards instead of downwards.
Launchers: They required the player to press the down key and use the left and right keys to change aim. They were similar to Catapults or Slingshots.
Furniture
Several furniture items were obtained by doing certain tasks in the game. They allowed entering the game Puffle Launch through an igloo.
Puffle Cannon: obtained by earning all of the Puffle O's in the first set of levels (Blue Sky).
The first sneak peek for the game was revealed in a parent update email in February 2011.[2]
Every color puffle had their own helmet, except the Rainbow and Gold Puffle, which are not playable.
You could take any puffle that you own into the game, even without walking them. Puffles released after the brown puffle could not be brought into the game, as they were not added to the game.
Even if you had multiple puffles of the same color, you could pick whichever puffle you want to play.
Puffle Launch was playable on the Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices through the Puffle Launch App.
There were leftovers of an unused level editor.[3]
The cannons worked similarly to the Barrel Cannons from the Donkey Kong franchise, first appearing in Donkey Kong Country.
Glitches
There was a glitch in level 35, in the section where the puffle would teleport madly in pattern between the boxes. Simply, the second blue cannon you could see in the teleport section, you had to miss it, fall back down to the bottom level, and you should fall all the way back to the front, but something strange would happen, and would literally break the fabric of the Box Dimension.
