The Solar Laser, also known as the High Frequency Infrared Reversion Laser, was a very powerful machine created by Herbert P. Bear. It was located in Herbert's Blackout Fortress during Operation: Blackout. It was utilized by Herbert to block the sun and steal its energy. As a result, this caused the overall temperature of the island being drastically reduced and all the buildings being covered in snow. The player set it to self-destruct and as a result caused it to be destroyed during the mission. The destroyed remains were reused by Herbert to create the Hot Sauce 3000.
Trivia
- The machine was destroyed after the player hacked the final Security Terminal.
- After absorbing energy from the sun, the High Frequency Infrared Reversion Laser was capable of using heat energy blasts to destroy buildings on Club Penguin Island. Herbert used this feature to his advantage and severely damaged the Everyday Phoning Facility.
- In the newspaper, Herbert refers to it as the Solar Laser, proving its official name.
- After the events of Operation: Blackout, Herbert used the destroyed remains of the Solar Laser for his plan to make a large bomb that would make Club Penguin a tropical paradise and as a result heat up the island during Operation: Hot Sauce.
