  • Hello Penguins! Recently, the final result for Coins for Change has been revealed. YET, it's almost impossible that we reached the final project and completed it on our own!

Also, many penguins noticed the score often ended in 3, 6 , 4 ,9 , etc.

This is not possible, since the only numbers we could have donated ended in 0 or 5. Now, many are thinking either CP just changed the number on the blog to make the game look good, or if Disney actually donated the rest themselves.

    What do you think?

    • I donated 1,000 coins in total. May be a glitch. I am adding it later.

    • I donated over 4 million coins (using a coin adder but all in good spirits!). I think that Disney probabaly did manipulate the numbers. In a blog post Megg made the day before the party ended a screenshot of 19 billion coins was shown and we know the end total to have been 26 billion. Unless we donated over a fourth of the coins in the last day (that being 7 BILLION COINS!) it could be safe to assume Disney did alter the numbers. Bear in mind though that a lot of that 7 billion coins that were added to the total could of been Penguin Style coins though I can't say it was. Did you also notice how we unlocked the first project a lot slower than the rest? The likelihood is that the numbers probably were changed by CP.

CP had to have donated them. Hopefully at least. But lets not forget that we also donated coins when finishing the quests. I'm not sure, but maybe some of those ended in 3, 6, 4, or 9?

Coins could only be donated in increments of multiples of 100 (100, 500, 1000, 10000), so theres no way that under normal circumstances there could have been any total that didnt end in zero. Something was altered definitely. How, or by whom, and why, I do not know.

    • But why did they do those odd numbers if they wanted it to look good, and not suspicious? They could have just added 20,000 or even number.

        Loading editor
    • It is possible that they weren't altered. It could of been Penguin Styles coins that did that but it is unlikley seeing all of the items in it end in a 0 or 5. I haven't checked the prices for this months catalog so don't quote me on that.

EDIT: It doesn't matter what you used the coins for it's still cheating. The reason you did it for doesn't justify the way you achieved it.

    • What I think we should do to CP:

Comment about it being such a fake thing by emailing them, leaving comments in their What's New Blog posts and tweeting their twitter accounts about it.

It was DEFINITELY a fake. I CAN'T believe CP would do something stupid, brainwashing media and not revealing the truth. What if the truth is spoken? Does it REALLY matter to know that we surpassed last years CFC goal (which in fact, we didn't)? Great way to end the year CP.

2014 = They started kinda good, then it went down, then it ended bad.

    • I'm pretty sure that the Club Penguin Staff and the Merry Walrus donated the coins themselves by just clicking 10,000 over and over. They probably did so when they were removing the decorations of the Merry Walrus party, I'm not sure of it.

How did it go into 2 tho?

    • Club Penguin was probably planning on donating the $1 million USD to all the different projects even before Coins for Change 2014. I hate to say it, but I don't think players donating coins has any impact on how much they donate or what projects they donate to. CFC is just to make players feel like they are a part of the donation (which is partly true, as some players fund the donations by purchasing memberships, toys, etc.). However, what's important here is that they donated to worthy causes.

        Loading editor
    • They probably donate the money before the party, and Coins for Change is a way to get rid of your coins so you have to get more to get stuff for next year.

That post... it's one of the many excuses Disney gives to try to get away with things. Great job to them.

I have a feeling the game may be just sending in money, or someone may have hacked into the game and gave them more (most likely the game is sending money) because I do not know how many people play this game, but as we know, it is trying to overtop all the other games, and win an award. They obviously sent in some money to make us look good. And I don't like it. I think we should only have the hard earned virtual money WE made donated, not some random amount of crap CP gave us. They need to learn that we are hard working, generous people. Not idiots like them. And even if the "Merry Walrus" did donate (and it is possible) he had the same advantages as us. He never could have donated a random amount. His is just an ugly virtual looking thing, that was made by the CP crew. But the game itself is the only group of people able to send in a random amount.

OR, (it's the same theory, just different) the game sent in money and not coins. Since I don't know how they transfer coins-money, they could have just sent in actual money.

      Still, I don't like it

Yeah, Angryblue needs to be blocked and reported for his illegal threat reviving, he's being a pest and breaking the Wikia rules at the same time.

    • But still, the 2015 Coins For Change is starting, alongside a REGULAR Holiday Party this year, with Merry Walrus also known as Cheater Walrus, won't be able to hack. I feel like it's going to be better, 2015 literally starting horribly and then slowly improved after August. August, October-December are the best parts of 2015.
