The Time Portal was a large temporal gateway invented by Gary the Gadget Guy that could be used as transportation between two different time periods. It was connected to the Time Trekker 3000, and was seemingly powered by it.
It was placed in the Snow Forts on May 15, 2014, but was initially inactive. A week later, when the Future Party started, it was activated, and allowed players to travel between the Snow Forts of the present and the Snow Forts of the future. On June 6, the portal was closed to avoid "risk of a temporal catastrophe".
It is never explained why the Time Portal was created and used instead of the Time Trekker itself. A caption in issue 447 of the Club Penguin Times suggests "A time portal gets us there in half the... time?", although this quote does not come from Gary himself.
Trivia[]
- In issue #450 of the Club Penguin Times, Rookie said he was in charge of its clean-up and hoped that the Portal would fit into the Box Dimension.
