Since Club Penguin shut down 2 months ago, I would like to give my story from the beginning up to this point.
4 years ago, I saw a Marvel Superheroes Takeover commercial airing on Disney Channel. At first, I ignored it, but after seeing it a few times, I had to try it. When I was creating my penguin, I didn't know what to call it because I never had never made an account on the internet by myself. The first thing that caught into my mind was "Hulk with a few numbers at the end", so I typed it in, but as usual, it was taken. Next thing that caught into my mind was "Iron Man and a few numbers on the end" and that's how my username was born. When I logged in, I wanted to be a superhero, but of course, it was for members.I wasn't pissed off, more like "seemingly angry". I loved Club Penguin at the time, so much so that every Thursday, I would go home and log in, so I could see the new party for at least an hour (I live in the Philippines, everything here is different). But as the years go by, I started to lose interest in CP because I didn't have the time to log in everyday. from time to time though, I would log in and collect the items during a party and log out after. Club Penguin actually helped me think better in life because I was very sad and depressed from school at the time.
The first time I actually heard of CP closing was when DanTDM uploaded a video of him playing it. I was shocked to hear it! I didn't know they were closing! I started doing a bunch of research, answering every single question in my mind. I spent the last days of CP logging in each day and talking to other penguins about their thoughts on the matter. Days after Cp closed, I saw a video from CPWorld called "Club Penguin Rewritten". I looked it up and made an account right away! Now it comes to today, playing CPR as a remembrance for CP's contribution to my life.
As for the future, I really hope Club Penguin Team releases the game again or a slightly modified one that has the same gameplay as the original, but slightly refined to look even better than the last one (and also not owned by Disney) or a website with a storage system full of the original penguins of CP. If they don't (which is very likely), I am very happy to start over in CPR to experience a different year of CP. Thanks CP for everything.
