Hello all,

Long time no see.

So the last time I was here actively, roughly, was in August of last year, prepping for Flippr's big Puffle Party. It was supposed to be my big return to glory. Long story short, I ended up getting screwed everyway in the worst way, and Flippr closed four days into my party. Before I go any further, please, do not ask questions about Flippr or it returning. I gave everything to a new group of people to do what they want with it. I am no longer affiliated. It is painful to talk about, so please refrain from your inquiries about it.

Now what was this giant party? A Puffle Party like nothing had ever seen.

Features of the Party[]

  • Every room decorated except the Elemental Dojos, PSA HQ, Gadget Room, and the Underwater room.
  • Free items corresponding to every puffle. Keep in mind, Flippr had 20 full puffles and no wild puffles, so it was 20 hats, 20 puffle beds, 20 puffle houses, 20 puffle posters, etc.
  • Every puffle had a domain in the Puffle Hotel.
  • A quest system eerily reminiscent of the one CP would use this year for Puffle Party. You had to find sleeping Puffle Creatures (puffles in costumes) and hidden o'berries. Completing each quest allowed you to enter a special puffle treehouse, talk to a certain mascot, earn the puffle costume, and transform.

So now[]

I've taken this party, which hardly anyone truly got to enjoy, and placed it into an online single-player simulator. You can explore all the rooms, complete the quests, and see how the party would have been. I simply could not go any longer without people ever having gotten to see what I would largely consider my greatest work. You can check out the party at my new website, http://clubpenguincustoms.com

Highlights[]

Here are some of the things you should definitely see. Of my favorite party, these are a few of my favorite accomplishments in it.

  • Western Berg and the Migrator: On the left side of the map, click the iceberg. It's temporarily tropical. The regular room and the drawn version both had their backgrounds hand drawn (IE, the berg asset you see there is unique to me). The Migrator was also entirely revamped, redrawn, and has the same old classic feel with updated assets.
  • The Cave Mine: Possibly my favorite part of the whole party, it's Feed-a-puffle, but moved underground, and with my many puffle additions added.
  • The Boiler Room: Flip the switch to see a view-to-view comparison of the new and old art styles for rooms.
  • Jungle, Red, Rainbow, and Spectrum Puffle Domains: All three featured little spurts of drawing to get things to fit quite right. The new art style really makes them pop.
  • Cloud Forest: Temporarily transformed into an all new grassy park. Kind of a fun concept, and I had fun changing the cloud into a grass landscape (just little details make the transformation work).
  • The Mall (located at the Snow Forts): Transformed into a new Puffle Circus, complete with 20 acts, it was a feat of its own. PH is the new circus master, and every puffle has some kind of trick to perform. Additionally, the room itself was touched up into a slightly newer style.

Going forward[]

Definitely going to be doing some CP parties from different ideas, with a Water Party being the first one. I'll also be doing some EPF missions in a new system that's in the format of the old PSA missions, but with all new art. Stay tuned.

Important point about CP[]

I've noticed a lot of people giving CP excuses for some pretty lame recent parties, and their newspaper cutdown. Listen. I did this entire party on my own in a little under a month. That's over 100 rooms, 100 items, newspapers, mascot artwork, coding an entire quest system, and more. Not to mention, it was also the launch party for a new puffle (Aqua), so it really took a lot to get done, especially considering that I drew more from scratch for this party than I ever did before. So don't give CP a free pass for not doing well. It's perfectly possible to have a lot going on in the future and still do well now.

I hope you all enjoy this party as much as I enjoyed making it. It really is something I'm very proud of, and I hope you all can enjoy it. I'll be in and out here, doing some more stuff like this.

Until next time, -Sandor
