Welcome to Club Penguin Wiki, Gold2232!
width="200px" height="260px" /> Hi there! Welcome to the Club Penguin Wiki, the free online encyclopedia all about Club Penguin! We hope you enjoy your stay here.

There are many things the wiki offers to you:

  • Edit - Editing is the act of changing a page and adding information onto it. Your knowledge of the game is the prime reason why we are a large website. Remember, you can add images, make templates and many other things.
  • User page - All users have their very own user page. User pages are pages in which the user, who owns the page, can describe themselves. Feel free to fill out your user page with information about yourself, and anything else you would like to say.
  • User talk - All users have their own talk page. They receive messages from other users and you can send them messages through their talk page. You can add your signature by typing 4 tildes (~~~~). You can also click the Sigtime.png button on the edit bar to do the same thing.
  • Forum - The wiki has a forum, in which your thoughts and matters can be written there.
  • Chat - The wiki enables you to chat with other wiki users in the chat we have! You can utilize it to talk about the wiki (for help, or for general discussion about it) or socializing, like a talk page, but in real time.

You can also modify some of your account settings such as your signature at Preferences. If you want to learn how to make a cool signature, click here!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask a Club Penguin Wiki Administrator.
We're always happy to help!

RE:Music

Hi Gold,
For adding music, you can upload an .ogg music file to the wiki, and to use Template:MusicPlay for adding it, however, there is an exception of music files that contain words in them, so Power Rangers Samurai Theme [PRE-PREMIÈRE VERSION] is not a valid choice for music play.
If you have another music you'd like to upload and need help, feel free to contact me again.

RE:More Music

Hi Gold,
If you talk about a version without words of a song (or other music), then you can use it.

RE:More Music Link

Hi Gold,
Follow those steps:

  1. Go to a site like www.flvto.com or youtube-mp3.org, and enter the URL of your video (on this case it's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqTLZZWgqIU).
  2. Click "convert". When the file is ready, save it to your dektop, for quicker access.
    • The file generated is in .mp3 fomat which is not supported in the wiki. Instead, a format called .ogg can be uploaded.
  3. Now, go to this website. Select "upload a file".
  4. After it's uploaded to teh website, press the "upload a file" button.
  5. In the "Select an output profile" section, select Ogg sound (OGG, 96k audio, stereo). Then start the conversion.
  6. After the file has been converted, you can press the "download" button. After saving to your computer the '.ogg file, you can upload it to the wiki.

If you need help with the upload, contact me again and i'll upload the file to the wiki for your.

RE:Music Download

Hi Gold,
First of all, music files can be made in different file formats. Kinda like a common file format is PNG, that has an ending of .png. The most common file formats for music files are .mp3 and .ogg, however, .mp3 is not supported in this wiki, so only .ogg can be added.

In order to download a music file from YouTube, there are several websites that allow you to do so simply by pasting the URL of the youtube video. An example for this is youtube-mp3.org, although there are many other out there.

Those websites preccess the video and export its soundtrack, which usually takes 10 to 20 seconds. When tehy are down a download link would appear.

Clicking it will download it to your computer, and you can then upload it to the wiki.

However, those websites generate a .mp3 file, which cannot be uploaded to the wiki. Therefore, you need to use first this website, that can convert thte MP3 file to a OGG file. Once you're done, you can upload the file to the wiki.

In case you're still having problems, contact me again and explain what parts you don't understand/ need help with.

RE:Posting Music

Hi Gold,
Once the music file has been uploaded to the wiki, in the file page (like this file) it usually has a "play" button on the top of the page, and just below it, a line saying something like:

Dubstep_Puffle.ogg‎ (Ogg Vorbis sound file, length 28s, 114kbps)

The word Dubstep_Puffle.ogg links to this file. Copy the file link, and remove the beginning of:

http://images.wikia.com/clubpenguin/images/

So only Dubstep_Puffle.ogg is left.
Add what's left to the template MusicPlay liek this:

Dubstep_Puffle.ogg

And it would play your music.

RE:Something is Wrong

Hi Gold,
You did it well, just remember not to remove the 9/9f before the file ending:

RE:I need help once again

Hi Gold,
First of all, for giving a link color, dosomething like this:

<span style="color: COLOR">Link text</span>

And repalce the word COLOR with your color name or color value. FOr instance:

<span style="color: gold">Gold2322</span>

Results: Gold2322
You can do this with your user talk page. For example:

<span style="color: gold">Gold2322</span> <span style="color: orange">(Talk)</span>

Which results: Gold2322 (Talk)

RE:Question

Hi Gold,
Yes, you just paste it in the text box under the signature section. Make sure that the input box that says I want to use wikitext in my signature is checked.
Penguin-Pal (talk) 14:52, March 31, 2013 (UTC)

Signature

Hi Gold,
I'm sorry, i've accidently used an incorrect link for your user pages, here's what the signature should look like:

<span style="color: gold">Gold2232</span> <span style="color: orange">(Talk)</span>

Sorry for the mistake,
